Sarva SANDHI Foundation, a Section 8 non-profit established in 2022, empowers youth by building their leadership and helping them access fellowships and professional opportunities in India’s development sector.
About the SAMARTH Initiative
India is witnessing a growing wave of experiential learning with over 200 prestigious fellowships and countless Young Professional roles in the social sector, offering young people the chance to learn by doing, lead with purpose, and address real-world challenges.
SAMARTH Initiative by Sarva SANDHI Foundation is a youth-led initiative dedicated to making these opportunities more accessible. We aim to raise awareness, educate, guide, and equip aspiring changemakers to explore and excel in the social development space. By collaborating with academic institutions and development organisations, we’re working to democratise experiential learning and unlock the potential of young people for impact.
People Behind:
Shaped by lived experiences across seven prestigious fellowships in India and internationally, our team now works nationwide in policy, programs, communications, and impact roles. United by a shared purpose, we launched the SAMARTH Initiative under Sarva SANDHI Foundation to democratise experiential learning through fellowships and youth leadership opportunities, empowering young people through awareness, guidance, capacity building, and mentorship.
Why Fundraising:
This isn’t just an emotional pursuit—it’s a deeply personal commitment to a cause we believe in. Over the past three years, the SAMARTH Initiative has been entirely self-funded, driven purely by passion. And it’s made a real difference. Through two Fellowship cohorts, two mentorship batches, and ongoing one-on-one support, we’ve directly supported over 85 young people in building self-leadership and accessing meaningful career opportunities in India’s social sector.
The trust and impact we’ve built are humbling, but we now need support to grow, through funding, mentorship, and wider reach. Your contribution will help us expand the SAMARTH Initiative, co-create learning tools, connect with like-minded changemakers, and bring Sarva (everyone’s) SANDHI (partnership/ collaboration) towards Democratising Experiential Learning Opportunities for our young people in India.
